‘Kupal’ receives Best Film Title at BIFF

Iranian movie ‘Kupal’ has succeeded to receive Best Film Title at the closing ceremony of the 3rd edition of Bogota International Film Festival held in Columbia.

At the closing ceremony of the event, held on October 28, 2017, the film managed to win the Golden Pre-Columbian Circle for Best Film which is the main award of the festival.

The movie has so far succeeded to win 3 Best Film Awards. The flick had previously won the same title from Around Festival in Amsterdam and Canada’s Brasov Film Festival.

Kupal’ narrates the story of a hunter and taxidermist who goes through an unfortunate incident by trapping himself in his basement with little food and no water, having to survive by using creative and desperate means. The storyline of ‘Kupal’ and the tagline is, ‘you can’t be alone in this world!’

The main cast in “Kupal” is Levon Haftvan,  A smart dog named Sharon, also plays a key role in the movie.

Leon Haftouan, Nazanin Farahani, Pourya Rahimi Sam, Hossein Shamsabadi are among the notable cast of the series.

Founded in 2015, the Bogotá International Film Festival or BIFF is an annual international film festival  which is held in Bogotá, Colombia.
